Marlys Fisher, RN, from Trinity's Cardiac Rehab department delivered a message concerning Heart disease. Too few people realize that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of American women — and of men. But the good news is that heart disease can largely be prevented.

Marlys
went over what we can do to prevent heart disease, which, summed up was “Know the Signs ” and “Know Your Numbers”.
(or risk factors).

Her message concerned the upcoming community event, “Go Red” which will be celebrated in Minot on February 2, 9 to Noon at the Vegas. The event is primarily aimed at increasing awareness among women, but (apparently) men have hearts, too, so the message should be considered universal!! For more information concerning this event see their web site at http://gorednd.com

New Technology Being Used at RI

Have you visited the new Rotary International web site lately? If not, you are missing a significant part of the Rotary experience. It's more that a new look. They are now using more technology. For a sampler, go to the article "
Grant money in motion" and play the video. It's about an interesting service project in Illinois. You may also want to be the first in your block to Subscribe to their RSS. Just hit the Gold button on that page and add it to your RSS Reader. (Hint: Yahoo! is one. There are many others.) Try it! You'll like it!
