Last Weeks Program: by Brad Stia This year marks the 53 rd year of dirt stirring excitement for the Minot Y’s Men’s Rodeo and fans. Jason Jensen, chair of our district rodeo who also happens to be the proud owner of three dogs, four cats, and eight horses, paid our morning club a visit to talk about how this year’s rodeo is being done better than ever. For the next three years the Minot Y’s Men’s Rodeo will be competing on the Dodge Badlands Circuit Finals. This is certainly going to step things up competitively as it becomes even more important for the 96 cowboys and girls to do solidly well in their events. However, seeing who can stay footed in those stirrups isn’t the only thing these guys are focused on. This year, in a burst of pink flavored t-shirts, the Minot Y’s Men’s Rodeo is raising good ‘ol dollars to support the larger fight against breast cancer. Their “tough enough to wear pink” campaign will be donating all proceeds from the shirt sales to programs that facilitate training for those that have beaten breast cancer. For full information on the upcoming event and much more, please visit their website at http://www.minotysmensrodeo.com/.
