Last weeks Program
by: Brad Stai

Last week Miss Ashley Andrews, Miss Rodeo America 2007 paid us a visit. This cowgirl is a tough, 21 year old from Bowman, North Dakota, not only took the crown at the 52nd Annual Miss Rodeo America Pageant, but also overcame threatening challenges before doing so.

While still reigning as Miss Rodeo North Dakota, Ashley was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. It was after six months of chemotherapy that Ashley was given a clean bill of health and allowed to compete at the week long pageant that she later won.

Ashley has now gone on to book many tens of thousands of traveled miles, speaking to crowds and making appearances at over 100 rodeos. Despite her amazing abilities to keep up on everything, she makes the distinction of being a full fledged rodeo girl, in addition to being just the pretty face representing Miss Rodeo America.

As last words to Ashley's visit, she would like to remind everyone to "Go Pink".
Upcoming Events:
October 15, Noon - Board of Directors meeting
October 17, 6PM - Dine with the District Governor
October 19, 6 PM - Trivia Contest between Rotary and Sertoma!

2007 Rotary Roses
Completed!

Last Thursday we finished this years Rotary Roses campaign by distributing all the orders.  Both Clubs met their expectations this year, which is a good thing. We are indebted to Market Place Foods for the use of their facilities in the pick/delivery phase and to the MSU Bottineau Horticulture Club for the talent to arrange the vases. We appreciate all the help we can get!

Thanks to all who participated!
