Last weeks Program by: Brad Stia Amy Moen spoke to us about the Trinity Foundation and the importance it has served in the community ever since it found a home in the building that was gifted to them. Foundations are now a necessity since health care is consistently going up while assistance dwindles. They are, therefore, very important to have as they improve upon the other service deliveries. Amy also updated us on the expected opening of the Trinity Health Guest House. Formerly know as the Design & Decor building, the building was donated to Trinity by a Minot family, and is gearing up to offer a comfortable environment for the family members of patients to stay for a minimal fee. Renovations are being done to accommodate 12 sleeping rooms, two family gathering rooms with kitchen and dining areas, laundry and vending rooms, and an apartment for a night manager. Trinity will also be offering a program to honor lost loved ones. The program allows for a family, or friend, to designated a room to sponsor in memory of those lost. To hear more, please call the Trinity Health Foundation Office at 701-857-5432.

The Rotary Foundation Update During the past Rotary year we celebrated the 90th anniversary of our Rotary Foundation and our lofty achievements. For the first time in our history, we have exceeded US$100 million in contributions to the Annual Programs Fund. PolioPlus aside, financially this has been a record year. We are approaching the approval of the 27,000th Matching Grant. Designated District Fund allocations, which for years were underutilized, are in demand with $11 million now available to districts. The Rotary Foundation remains the best present we have for the future of Rotary. For more information see Article.
